Nest Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychologist to join our network of allied health professionals. As a Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services. You will work closely with individuals, families, and groups to identify and address psychological issues, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate clients' mental health needs and formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to clients' specific needs and goals.
- Provide counselling and therapy sessions to individuals, couples, families, and groups to address a variety of psychological concerns.
- Monitor clients' progress through regular follow-up sessions and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS)
Qualifications:
- A recognized Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology from an accredited Australian university.
- Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for registration.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current Australian health and professional standards, including the APS Code of Ethics and the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce.
- Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments, formulating diagnosis, and developing evidence-based treatment plans.
- Strong counselling and therapy skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build therapeutic relationships with clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with new research and best practices in the field of psychology
